Day 1
Where the Ocean Welcomes You
Negombo
Just a short drive from Bandaranaike International Airport, Negombo is an ideal first stop in Sri Lanka. Set beside the Negombo Lagoon and the Indian Ocean, this historic coastal town has long been connected with fishing and maritime trade.
Negombo’s character comes from its combination of golden beaches, fishing communities, lagoon landscapes and Portuguese and Dutch colonial influences. The town is also known for its seafood, traditional fishing culture and historic churches. Sri Lanka Tourism describes Negombo as a traditional fishing town with a centuries-old fishing industry and highlights its Dutch Canal, old colonial buildings, fishing villages and beaches.
Experiences
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your private chauffeur and transfer to your hotel in Negombo.
After check-in and some time to relax, depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a gentle introduction to the town.
- Negombo Beach – Take a relaxed walk along the sandy western coastline and watch the fishing boats returning from the sea.
- Negombo Fishing Community – See an important part of the traditional livelihood of the area and learn about the town's long connection with fishing.
- Dutch Canal – Drive alongside or explore sections of the historic canal system, once used as a transportation and supply route.
- Colonial Negombo – Discover the Portuguese and Dutch influences visible in the town's architecture and historic buildings.

Day 2
From Village Paths to Ancient Wonders
DAMBULLA & SIGIRIYA
Discover Sri Lanka’s Ancient Heritage & Village Life
The Sigiriya region forms part of Sri Lanka’s celebrated Cultural Triangle, an area associated with ancient kingdoms, archaeological sites, temples, reservoirs and remarkable rock landscapes.
Sigiriya is dominated by the spectacular Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a fifth-century archaeological site rising approximately 200 meters above the surrounding landscape. Its gardens, defensive features and famous Lion’s Paw entrance make it one of Sri Lanka’s most recognizable heritage sites.
Travel inland towards Dambulla and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, one of Sri Lanka’s important religious and cultural heritage sites.
The complex consists of caves decorated with Buddhist murals and numerous statues. Sri Lanka Tourism dates the cave temple’s origins to the First Century BC and describes it as an important pilgrimage site.

Sri Lankan Village Experience
Continue towards Sigiriya and experience a more personal side of Sri Lanka through a traditional village experience.
The experience can include:
- Canoe Ride - Enjoy a peaceful paddle across a village lake surrounded by vegetation and countryside.
- Traditional Village Lunch - Enjoy a freshly prepared Sri Lankan meal using local ingredients and traditional cooking methods. This experience allows guests to interact with rural environments rather than simply observing them from a vehicle.

Day 3
Walk Through the Stories of a Kingdom
Kandy
Ancient Fortress → Spice Country → Cultural Capital
Surrounded by mountains and greenery, Kandy is one of Sri Lanka’s most culturally significant cities. It was the last royal capital of the island and remains closely connected with Sri Lankan traditions, arts and religious heritage.
The city is situated around the scenic Kandy Lake and provides a transition from the dry-zone landscapes of the Cultural Triangle into the cooler central hills.

- Sigiriya Rock Fortress - Begin the day with a visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
- Spice & Herbal Garden - Continue towards Kandy through the island's spice-growing region. At a spice and herbal garden, learn about Sri Lanka's traditional spices and plants, including their role in local cooking and traditional wellness practices.
- Gem Museum- Sri Lanka has a long association with gemstones. Visit a local gem establishment to learn about the country's gem industry and traditional methods of identifying and working with precious stones.
- Temple of the Tooth Relic - In the evening, visit Sri Dalada Maligawa — the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Located in the heart of Kandy beside the lake, this is one of the country's most important religious and cultural sites. Guests can experience the atmosphere of the temple complex, observe traditional architecture and learn about its significance in Sri Lankan history.
- Kandyan Cultural Performance - End the day with a traditional Kandyan cultural performance featuring Sri Lankan music, dance and ceremonial traditions. Overnight in Kandy

Where Every Hill Tells a Tea Story
Nuwara Eliya
Into Sri Lanka’s Tea Country
Known as Sri Lanka’s hill country, Nuwara Eliya is surrounded by rolling tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, waterfalls and cool highland scenery.
The region became an important centre of tea cultivation and retains many reminders of its colonial-era development. Sri Lanka Tourism highlights the central highlands for their tea estates, waterfalls, cool climate and misty landscapes.

- Ramboda Waterfall - Travel through the scenic mountain roads towards Ramboda. Stop at Ramboda Waterfall, where water cascades through the lush central highlands. The surrounding landscape provides excellent opportunities for photographs and short walks.
- Tea Plantation & Factory - Continue through the famous tea-growing region. Visit a working tea plantation and factory. The experience provides an opportunity to meet or observe people working within one of the island's best-known agricultural industries.
- Nuwara Eliya Town - Explore the town and its surrounding attractions. Enjoy views across the lake and surrounding hills.
- Victoria Park - A peaceful green space within the town, ideal for a leisurely walk.

Day 5
A Journey Through the Clouds
Ella
Scenic Rail Journey Through the Highlands
Ella is a small mountain destination surrounded by dramatic green hills, tea plantations, forests and valleys.
It has become one of Sri Lanka’s most popular highland destinations because of its spectacular scenery and relaxed atmosphere.
Experiences
- Scenic Train Journey - After breakfast, transfer to Nanu Oya Railway Station for the scenic train journey towards Ella. The train travels through the central highlands. Train tickets are subject to availability. If tickets are unavailable, the journey can be operated by private vehicle.
- Nine Arches Bridge - Visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge, an impressive railway bridge surrounded by lush vegetation. The viewpoint provides an opportunity to appreciate the bridge, surrounding forest and passing trains when operating.
- Little Adam's Peak - For guests who would like a gentle outdoor experience, Little Adam's Peak can be included as an optional walk. The viewpoint offers beautiful views across Ella's surrounding mountains and valleys.
- Ravana Falls - Continue to Ravana Falls, one of the well-known waterfalls in the Ella region. The waterfall is surrounded by dramatic rock formations and greenery and makes a scenic stop while travelling through the area.
Day 6
From Mountain Trails to the Wild
Yala
Mountains to the Wild
The journey now changes dramatically from cool mountain country to Sri Lanka’s wildlife-rich south.
Yala National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s best-known wildlife destinations. Sri Lanka Tourism identifies Yala as the country’s second-largest national park and notes its populations of Asian elephants, leopards and endemic birdlife.
The landscape combines forests, grasslands, lagoons, rocky areas and open plains, creating habitats for a wide variety of animals.
Experiences
- Yala Jeep Safari - Enjoy a private safari through Yala National Park. Depending on the season, location and conditions, wildlife that may be encountered includes: Sri Lankan elephant, Leopard, Sloth bear, Wild buffalo, Crocodiles, Spotted deer, Wild boar, Monkeys, Peacocks, Numerous resident and migratory birds. Wildlife sightings are naturally unpredictable, which is part of the excitement of a safari. The focus is on observing animals responsibly in their natural environment. After the safari, return to your hotel and relax amidst the surrounding wilderness. Overnight in Yala

Bentota
Colonial Heritage & Southern Coast
The journey continues along Sri Lanka’s southern coast towards Galle, a historic coastal city known for its fortified old town.
Experiences
- Galle Dutch Fort - Explore the Galle Fort, a UNESCO-listed historic area surrounded by massive defensive walls overlooking the Indian Ocean. The fort provides an interesting contrast between Sri Lanka's colonial history and contemporary creative culture.

- Madu River Boat Safari - Cruise through the waterways and mangrove landscapes of the Madu River area.
- Turtle Conservation Experience - Visit a responsible turtle conservation facility to learn about sea turtles and conservation efforts.

- Water Sports - Guests interested in activities can choose from available experiences such as kayaking or other supervised water-based activities.
